A little backgroud about Jan 19th

Steve and Jo will be on a cruise with 'the cruise group' (including Aunt Toni and Uncle Dan). The cruise end and will dismbark at the Miami ports on Saturday, January 19th. The plan is to have my neighbor pick them up at the port Saturday morning. They should be arriving back at my condo around 1:30 pm. They plan on staying at my condo for the weekend.

The guests will be waiting at the beach for the SURPRISE.

Please bring your beach goods with you. All guests will have access to the pools, restrooms with showers, and of course the beach. We will have picnic tables and eating areas also available. Lunch, snacks and cocktails will be served. There is a picture of my rec center above, the party will be hosted on the beach side of the rec center.

As guests are confirmed, they will be post on this. Steve and Jo do not know about party, nor will they see this web site until after January 19! Please keep me posted on your plans. The party will be at the beach / pool /cabana at Marlow’s condo. Bring beach attire and beach toys.

HOTEL
The Sands Harbor hotel is walking distance to the beach and Marlow's condo (about 1/2 mile). The are offering a rate of $228 for the weekend (2 nights), and the rate comes with coupons for the restaurant and Tiki Bar. The hotel is located on the east side of the intercoastal.

Also available on the beach is CABANON MOTEL (954-941-6171). Address is 504 North Ocean Blv. Just walk 4 blocks south on the beach and you will be at the party. Rooms are more like apartments with a small kitchenette. They have rooms at will sleep up to 4-5 people. $86-$150 per room/night.

FLIGHTS/TRAVEL
Currently there flights from DTW to FLL (Fort Laduerdale, Fl) Friday morning (Jan 18) departing Sun evening for under $200 on both Northwest Airlines and Air Trans. $275 on US Air. If you perfer West Palm Beach airport (PBI) is 1 hour north. And don't forget, Monday is a government holiday - MLK Day.
